Bison

Year Painted: 2022

Description: In 2016 the bison was made the National Mammal, per the National Bison Legacy Act. At that time each Indiana county was gifted a fiberglass bison to decorate. “Jasper” is the Jasper County buffalo, displayed inside of the courthouse. This mural’s main focus is the mighty bison. Much like “Jasper,” the colorful paints on this piece are a nod to the buffalo jumping over a log on the official Indiana Seal.
